Job description
Protocol Education are looking for experienced teaching assistants to work in our excellent SEND schools in South West London.

Our schools cater for students from early years to key stage 5 students with a range of needs that include autism (ASD), profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) as well as a varying level of challenging behaviour.

Successful candidates will be required to work with students on a one to one basis or lead small groups of students with PMLD & ASD and varying behaviours. If successful, you will also have the opportunity to be trained by the school and the agency in order to develop skills and strategies.

As a specialist LSA you will need the following skills and qualifications:
• To have worked one to one and lead groups with children with special needs such as PMLD, ASD and challenging behaviour.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to use initiative and work well under pressure.
• Be able to differentiate work to support needs of children
• Experience in personal care such as feeding and changing.
• Experience in manual handling hoisting is desirable
• PECS and Makaton experience is desirable
• Positions are subject to an enhance disclosure barred service.
