A good Teaching Assistant is someone who knows how to drive the focus for students towards achieving academically to the best of their ability. A good Teaching Assistant shows understanding, alongside asserting control of a classroom environment and always on the lookout for child protection and safeguarding issues.

If you feel like this is something you can do or have been doing, then have you considered using these skills within a SEN Setting?

We are looking for multiple Teaching Assistants for a Special Educational Needs school based in the Islington borough. This particular school is looking for dedicated staff to work with SEND students, across Key stage 1 5, supporting students with Autism and complex needs.

Working with SEND students is a rewarding job, you can positively impact a child life by assisting and teaching them personal skills and academic progression, and you will be working in much smaller class settings then that of a mainstream school, often working 1-2-1 with a particular student throughout the academic year.

This school is open to entry level Teaching Assistants with limited SEN experience but with an abundance of personal attributes, passionate, dedicated and hands on individuals! You will also have the opportunity to climb the career ladder within the school.

Are you happy to commit to a full academic year? Are you open to working with children who are verbal and non-verbal? Are you able to adapt to challenging behaviours? If this sounds like you then please do not hesitate, send your CV now to be considered for an interview.

If you have the below personal skills, then this is exactly what our school is looking for:

You may not feel you have enough experience for a SEND School, but our schools teach you how to work with a range of special educational needs. So do not miss out on a great opportunity to build on your skill set and experience. It is easier than you think to start working with specials educational need students!
