Job description
English Teacher with experience in SEMH (Social Emotional & Mental Health) for a Hospital School in Ilford

Start: April

A small inclusive hospital school in the London Borough of Redbridge is currently seeking a English SEND Teacher with proven experience interacting with vulnerable people. The hospital caters for young people who have a variety of challenging mental health issues. Referal to the hospital is usually made via the community CAMHS. There are both planned and emergency admissions. There are a mix of ward based and day patients. The unit has capacity for 15 young people, 11 female and 4 male, of both secondary and post 16 age.

Criteria for applying:
-Hold QTS, preferably in English
-Have a thorough understanding of SEMH needs and the patient approach needed to educate those with that need
- Have a positive approach
-Be confident in behaviour management as behaviour can be erratic, volatile and challenging
