Job description
An Ofsted ‘good’ with outstanding features academy in Leicester City wants to secure the services of a qualified English Teacher for day to day and longer term supply needs during the spring and summer terms of 2017. The school is an 11-16 school with c600 pupils and a reputation for good behaviour and results.

As the English Teacher you will be asked to plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons to groups of KS3 and KS4 pupils. It is hoped that your expertise in English will enable you to be creative in your approach and devise lessons that are well structured, fun and enable learners of all abilities to partake and make progress in their learning.

You will be an English Teacher with QTS and experience of teaching varied abilities and supporting teaching assistants in their role. You will need to be able to demonstrate positive outcomes and have achieved good results with previous year groups. You will have good behaviour management experience and be able to immerse yourself into the wider school community.

You will be rewarded with very competitive day rates and an opportunity to work in a school with a reputation for providing a supportive environment in which children of all abilities are able to flourish. There will be regular opportunities for day to day supply which will then progress into longer term supply as pupils prepare for their exams.

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
