Job description
An English teacher is required for a lovely school in Westerham, Kent to start as soon as possible. Ideally you will be a qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS but the school will also consider applicants with experience in teaching/tutoring if they have experience working with SEN students. Students are aged 12-17 years olds

Ideally you will have a English/Media/Literacy degree however experience with challenging students is more essential

The role of English Teacher is full time, five days per week but the school might consider someone who can only work four days per week for example.

The school is very supportive, has good leadership and friendly staff

Class sizes are small - usually around 6/7 students per group and a full time support assistant

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
