English Teacher
There is a high demand for core subject teachers to help students catch-up due to the gap out of education. I am currently working with multiple schools across West Leeds, who are currently recruiting for English Teachers.
Many schools have factored additional core subject lessons onto students' timetables and are running smaller intervention sessions for students who have fallen behind and to support year 11 and 13 students with upcoming exams hence, the need for additional English teachers to join their departments.
Schools are looking for individuals who are adaptable, hardworking and not only passionate about teaching English but also supporting young individuals through these uncertain times.
Strong behaviour management is essential as, students are experiencing disruption to their routine within and outside of school therefore, there is an evident increase in focus and behaviour problems.
Contracts lengths vary dependent on the school, opportunities are from one half term to temporary to permanent contracts, with some positions starting as soon as January 2021.
Opportunities are suited to both Newly Qualified Teachers and experienced teachers, applicants must hold QTS, specialising in English.
