We’re working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Waltham Forest looking to appoint a permanent English Teacher from September. The school is keen to find someone who can inspire a love of language and literature, while supporting students to achieve their full potential.

The role

• Teach English across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities at KS5 depending on experience
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that build confidence in reading, writing, and analysis
• Create a positive and structured classroom environment where all students can thrive
• Use effective behaviour management strategies to maintain focus and engagement
• Track progress and provide meaningful feedback to support student development
• Contribute to the wider English department and school community

What we’re looking for

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge across literature and language
• Confident classroom presence with solid behaviour management
• A genuine passion for supporting young people and raising attainment
• A team player who brings energy, ideas, and a positive attitude
