An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Tower Hamlets is on the lookout for a motivated English Teacher to join their team from September. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for someone who is passionate about literature, language, and unlocking student potential through engaging and inspiring English lessons.

Your Role:

  • Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Create dynamic lessons that promote critical thinking and creativity

  • Track student progress and implement strategies to close learning gaps

  • Foster a supportive, respectful classroom environment that promotes engagement

  • Take part in departmental planning, marking, and whole-school initiatives

Who We’re Looking For:

✔ A qualified teacher with QTS (or an equivalent UK teaching qualification)
✔ Proven experience teaching English in a secondary school setting
✔ Strong classroom presence and the ability to motivate and manage students effectively
✔ A passion for storytelling, literature, and developing literacy skills
✔ A collaborative mindset and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning

The quoted pay rate includes 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is initially temporary, with the possibility of a permanent contract.
