Job description
Have you recently completed a Degree in English or Maths and are interested in pursuing a career in a primary schools?

If so then Protocol Education Leicester would like to hear from you!

We are currently looking for dedicated Maths/English graduates in Leicester city to join our talent pool for the Autumn term 2016. We work closely with a wide variety of schools that are looking for temporary roles for Teaching Assistants to progress pupils with English/Maths interventions, working on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.

We have a range of schools in the area to suit our graduates whose role will be to offer their full support to enhance student's learning. Our schools provide a welcoming, caring and stimulating environment, supporting a range of student abilities which can offer an opportunity to gain SEN and other specialist experience. Protocol Education will fully support you in your role and many of our graduates move onto teaching courses, PGCE, SCITT etc..



The ideal candidate will:

• Be able to communicate clearly and patiently offering support to children who struggle with English as an additional language.

Be able to carry out 1:1 activities as well as providing general classroom support.

• Be confident in building rapport with pupils, parents and staff.

• Ensure pupils learning journals are filled out properly and are up to date.

• Be able to communicate clearly and patiently offering support to children who struggle with English as an additional language.

• Assist the teacher with class preparation. A degree graduate in literacy/numeracy?

• Show support in all tasks even administration such as handing out / collecting papers, photocopying, light marking and display work.

• Uphold the rules of the school and the classroom as well as practising safeguarding as per the school behavioural policy.

• Become an extension of the teacher you are supporting to create an outstanding learning environment for the children in your care.
