The Role

As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support English lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Deliver targeted literacy interventions and small-group tuition
  • Work one-to-one with students who need additional support
  • Help students develop confidence in reading, writing, and communication
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Gain valuable experience in classroom management and teaching strategies

You'll become part of a supportive English department that is passionate about developing confident readers, writers, and communicators.

We're Looking For

  • A degree in English, English Literature, English Language, Creative Writing, or a related subject
  • Graduates considering a career in secondary teaching
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Individuals who can build positive relationships with young people
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
