Passionate about literacy and early reading?

A primary school in Gateshead is looking for an English graduate to support KS1 pupils with phonics and reading intervention.

Full-time hours, 8.30am to 3.30pm.

The role includes

  • Running small group phonics sessions

  • Supporting guided reading

  • Helping pupils build early writing confidence

  • Tracking pupil progress

  • Supporting classroom teaching when required

This is ideal experience if you’re considering primary teacher training.

We’re looking for

  • An English or related degree

  • Strong phonics awareness

  • Clear communication skills

  • Interest in KS1 teaching
