Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with QTS and a strong Maths or STEM background looking to begin your induction year in a structured, high-performing primary school?

This Gateshead primary school has recently refined its Maths curriculum using a mastery approach and invested heavily in staff CPD. With a dedicated Maths Lead and experienced SLT, the school provides clear frameworks, shared planning, and meaningful mentorship.

The Role:

  • Full-time Year 3 class teacher

  • Deliver structured maths lessons using a mastery model

  • Teach the full KS2 curriculum

  • Use formative and summative assessment to drive progress

  • Develop behaviour management with strong pastoral systems

Support in Place:

  • Weekly mentor meetings

  • Established maths scheme

  • Shared year group planning

  • TA intervention support

  • Clear behaviour policy

  • Formal ECT induction programme

Requirements:

  • QTS

  • ECT status

  • Maths/STEM or related degree
