Job description

Protocol Education are looking for experienced EBD Teaching Assistants preferably with Team teach who can commit to short and long term assignments with schools in Sheffield.

Working for this Large EBD School you will be supporting pupils across the school KS2- KS4l with the full curriculum including Maths, English, PE and Science as well as vocational subjects. Pupils can follow 12 externally accredited courses from year 9 upwards and the schools cater for all pupils individual needs.

What makes this an excellent school is the high level of support given not only to the pupils but to the staff that work there. With a successful learning environment even the most disengaged pupil’s progress to positive outcomes.

The school require a Teaching Assistant who has experience working with challenging young people and will be able to manage behaviours effectively. A Team Teach qualification or similar is required for this role as there will be the occasion where you will be required to de-escalate a situation.

In addition to the above the candidate will have;

Good understanding of literacy and numeracy

Experience in a PRU or similar or experience of EBD

References to cover 2 years of previous employment

An enhanced DBS Check (or be willing to have a new one processed through Protocol)

Legal right to work in the UK
