Job description
I am delighted to be working with this three form al through Primary school in the borough of Barnet. This school is the most inclusive school in the borough; children of all abilities, attainment and demographic are welcomed into the school.

They are seeking 2 very strong and experienced EBD specialists with at least 6 months experience in a similar role. Ideally holding a degree, although what is far more paramount is the skills to successfully manage vulnerable children. Children who have not had the best start to their life, with complications that are affecting their education. You will be tactile, sensitive and empathetic. Confident of setting boundaries and enforcing these but ensuring you are a warm and approachable adult too.

Your role will include but not be limited to:

Working on a 1:1 basis with pre diagnosed pupils

Supporting the teacher to ensure a clam and on focus classroom

To provide fluid and professional communication to external agencies and to parents

To devise effective methods to combat disruptive behaviour

Support and develop the emotional stability of your pupils

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
