We’re looking for a caring, energetic Early Years Teaching Assistant to support nurseries and reception classes in a welcoming primary schools in Redcar. If you love phonics time, messy play, and being part of those “first ever” learning moments, this could be right up your street.
Early Years isn’t just about helping with coats and snack time. It’s about building confidence, encouraging curiosity, and creating a safe, happy space where children feel brave enough to try, speak, and explore.
Supporting children in Nursery or Reception
Helping with phonics, early maths, and creative activities
Encouraging positive behaviour and social development
Working closely with the class teacher and EYFS lead
Creating a warm, nurturing classroom environment
Experience working with children in Early Years or a similar setting
A patient, calm and playful approach
Understanding of the EYFS framework
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, or relevant experience
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
