An exciting opportunity has become available in one of our Sunderlandbased schools starting the first week back of the autumn term. The school are looking for a qualified teacher or NQT who specialises in Early years foundation.
As the EYT, you'll be working with children aged 0-5 in a primary setting. It's important that the activities you plan and carry out meet the requirements of the early years foundation stage (EYFS). Your aim is to motivate children and imaginatively use resources to help them learn. You'll provide a safe and secure environment for them to develop their social and communication skills, while recording observations and summarising their achievements.
You should be focused on the development of the children to prepare them for a successful transition to KS1
Applicants must have experience working in EYFS and have a strong will to commit. The role will initially be until the Christmas break with the school looking to extend the placement until the summer.
You must have:
·A Relevant teaching certificate in primary education (PGCE, B. Ed or BA)
·QTS or NQT status
·Experience working in schools or educational settings
·Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
·An ability to work confidently with children, with a professional approach
·A valid DBS
·Eligibility to work in the UK
