Early Years SEND 1:1 Support (BS5 Area)

My client is looking for an experienced Qualified practitioner to support a child on a 1:1 basis. The child is based within the Pre-school room and needs support in their daily routine and assisting them activities: supporting them in the different areas of the room as well as the outdoor environment.

The setting is based in the depths of a Bristol Suburban area and boasts a very community-based atmosphere and ethos, the setting runs on a term time only basis and is small. The team are strong passionate and supportive with all new staff that come into their setting.

The role is based on 15 hours per week and is a Term Time Only Role * the role is subject to funding but plans to be for the rest of the academic year and possibly leading into 2020

Key responsibilities for this role:

Experience and understanding of SEN support
Experience is SEN paperwork and procedures within Early Years (desirable)

As well as the ability to;
Deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps young children to develop
Plan and provide effective care, teaching and learning that enables children to progress and prepares them for school
Supervise mealtimes
Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children
Work in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of the children
Make accurate and effective use of assessment reflecting the needs, interests and stages of development of the individual children

Qualified Practitioners must have:
• Level 3 Qualification (NNEB, CACHE or NVQ).
• Experience working or in placement with children, ideally in an Early Years setting (Nursery, Pre-School, Children's Centre, Reception class)

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £40.00
