Job description

In the Borough of Haringey, Protocol is working exclusively with an Infants Community School situated in a pleasant and quiet environment in Wood Green. They have plenty of green space and play areas for their children to run around and enjoy. The school serves a community rich in cultural, ethnic, religious, linguistic and social diversity.

Together, we are on the hunt for an experienced Special Educational Needs support worker with a vast amount of knowledge working with children with Autism. The role will be starting in January and will continue on throughout the rest of the academic year. Working Monday through to Friday, 8.15am – 4 pm

To be considered for this amazing opportunity, you must be:

o An experienced support worked with children with SEN.

o Have at least 1 year supporting a child with Autism.

o You must be able to prepare resources and deliver the support at an outstanding level.

o An excellent practitioner who is dedicated to raising the attainment of all pupils.

o Able to promote equal opportunities in the classroom.

o Equipped with excellent behaviour and classroom management.

o Able to think and plan strategically.

o Able to support at a consistently good and outstanding level.

o Equipped with strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents and pupils.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’.
