Your Role

As a Secondary ECT, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
• Support pupils' academic, social and personal development.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress.
• Adapt lessons to meet different learning needs.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school team.

We are looking for:

• UK QTS completed or awarded.
• Successful completion of secondary teaching placements.
• A genuine passion for your subject and secondary education.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach.
• Commitment to developing your teaching practice.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.

Experience working with young people through teaching placements, Teaching Assistant work, tutoring, mentoring or volunteering is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
