Job description
My client, a large inner city school in the Leicestershire area, are currently seeking a learning support assistant to provide additional support and tuition to EAL students.

The ideal candidate will have experience with EAL support, and be able to speak Punjabi, Urdu, or Gujrati in order to better communicate with the students and provide the best possible level of support. The school has recently undergone a number of changes and is looking for candidates with the drive and determination to improve standards within the school dramatically. Behaviour in this school can be quite challenging at times, so strong behaviour management skills are highly desirable. The role will be full time, 5 days per week, and you may be expected to provide both one-to-one and group literacy/numeracy intervention to students aged 11-16.

To be successful for this role you must have:

•Strong interpersonal skills.

•The ability to speak Punjabi, Urdu, or Gujrati

•Sound behaviour management.

•The passion and drive to help the school and its students at a pivotal time
