Job description
Are you qualified to teach DT (resistant materials)? We are seeking to appoint a teacher of Design Technology to deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment across KS3 - KS5 for a school in Lewisham. This is a maternity position starting in April that will be ongoing. It involves 13 hours of teaching Art per week but will be DT focused for the most part.

Responsibilities:
- Teaching Design technology at both KS3 - KS5
- Driving performance within the classroom
- Ensuring targets are met and exceeded
- Managing behaviour within the classroom
- Communicating with parents and carers over pupils progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents evenings and whole school training events
- Participating in and organising extracurricular activities, such as outings, social activities and sporting events
- Preparing pupils for qualifications and external examinations
As a successful Teacher with Protocol Education you will need to:

•Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) with a PGCE, GTP, Bachelor of Education (BAEd.), QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification
•Be passionate about teaching and education
•Have a creative approach to teaching
•Be flexible and adaptable
•Have good behaviour managements skills
•Excellent communication and lesson delivery skills
•A good work ethic
