Job description

Are you a qualified DT Teacher who is looking for a new placement?

At Protocol Education, we are looking for a number of DT (Design and Technology) teachers to fill the increasing demand we are facing. These roles are flexible and you could teach a range of DT subjects including; engineering, woodwork, graphics, resistant materials, product design, textiles or food. Specialists in any one area will be considered but candidates capable in multiple areas will be ideal.

In these positions you will get the opportunity to teach a mixed timetable of KS3 and KS4 DT in workshops with a range resources and equipment. You will be expected to plan or deliver lessons that are both engaging and effective. The ideal candidate should also have brilliant communication skills and an ability to communicate successfully and professionally with children, staff, and parents.

To be successful in this role you will need:

•The ability to teach Food or DT at KS3 and KS4 (GCSE)
•A Willingness to engage and embrace enthusiastic students
•The ability to stretch and challenge academic students
•Experience in a teaching environment
•The knowledge of current and innovative teaching methodologies
