Job description
A special needs school in East London are currently seeking a Design Technology (Resistant Materials) Tutor for their post-16 Further Education Centre (FEC). This specific part of the school accommodates for young adults with Autism (ASD).
The focus of the centre is to provide life skills to help the students live independently and socially within the community as well as creating career opportunities. This role specifically concentrates on the carpentry and resistant materials industry and developing skills that can be transferred in to the work place.
You must have training in machinery and confident in carrying out practical lessons safely and effectively.
The school is filled with members of staff that are passionate about children and developing children's learning to help reach their highest potential. A high energy is required to keep students engaged and a positive atmosphere. The classes consist of 6-10 children with 2-3 support members of staff.
Please take note that you are required to have;
- Valid enhance DBS
- Past experience in Catering
- Eligibility to work in the UK
