Job description

Job Title - Design and Technology Technician
Location - Wandsworth
Contract Type - Short Term, Long Term, Permanent
Term time - Only 3 days a week to start as soon as possible

My school in Wandsworth are seeking to appoint an DT Technician to start ASAP. The school located close to mainline tube station, rated Outstanding by Ofsted has an excellent Design and Technology Department which includes a state of the art technology hub, a modern electronics workshop and a fully comprehensive food technology room.

They are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic technician to be able to work in electronics, product design, graphics and food technology across the key stages. The successful candidate should have an appropriate Design Technology qualification and/or significant working background in the field of Design Technology. Experience of being able to relate to young people in a positive and understanding way in a classroom environment will be an advantage.

You will need to know how to use various tools including the circular saw, bandsaw, preferably have experience with laser machines, sewing machines etc. The key thing is that you are highly organised and have no objection to cleaning as you will be expected to keep on top of all of the resources and rooms in department.
