A Newcastle school is recruiting for a teacher of Design and technology (Textiles and Food tech), who can also offer Health and Social care as an additional subject. The successful candidate will be required from September 2021 until at least December 2021. There is a high possibility that the post will be extended until the end of the academic year.
The school is located to the east of Newcastle city centre and was graded outstanding in its most recent OFSTED. If successful you will join a high performing and flexible department.
Applications from both experienced Design and Technology teachers and NQTs will be welcomed.
The successful candidate will:
·Be a creative, motivational and effective classroom practitioner
·Be able to inspire, challenge and motivate young people
·Be reflective and analytical about their own classroom practice
·Be confident delivering food technology or textiles to KS5
·Be experienced or willing to teach health and social care to ks4 or ks5
