My client, an Ofsted rated 'Good' school, are currently seeking a resistant materials teacher for a one year contract for the 2016/17 academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for an NQT who is looking to complete their induction year in a welcoming and well-established school - it would also suit a more experienced candidate, so if you are looking for a change you are also welcome to apply.
The school is located just outside of Leicester City Centre and as such, is easily accessable using public transport. They are regularly oversubscribed and have students from across the Leicestershire area - certain groups can be quite challenging so strong behaviour management and the ability to set expectations to your students is a must.
For NQT's: the school is well known for mentoring PGCE students through their NQT year, and are able to offer support and advice in order to help you through one of the most challenging (and exciting) years of your career. This school would be an absolutely fantastic place to complete your induction year, and have a well-developed, stable, and supportive department so that you are able truly reach your potential as an educator.
To be successful for this role you must have:
•QTS and eligibility to work within the UK.
•Extensive subject knowledge.
•Strong interpersonal skills.
•Sound behaviour management.
•The passion and drive to help the school and its students at a pivotal time
