Job description
I have an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, friendly nursery as a Deputy Manager. You will be part of a nursery group totally committed in providing stimulating and exciting activities which navigate children through every childhood milestone.
Located in Bushey the nursery is near 3 main train stations and easily accessible from Watford and the surrounding areas. The nursery has a capacity for around 50 children within its 3 rooms with access to its own private garden.
As a deputy manager, you will assist the manager in the everyday running of the nursery. Key aspects of the role are to support the staff team whilst building strong parent partnerships. Alongside this you will have a duty to ensure all children within the nursery are within a safe setting and receive experiences and activities appropriate to their age and development stage.
The role is a full-time position working Monday-Friday with varying shift patterns of either 7:15-4:15 or 9:30-6:30. Salary is between £22,000-£26,000 depending on level of experience with additional benefits which include 25 days annual holiday entitlement, discounts on childcare places, generous workplace pension scheme and access to excellent training to contribute towards your own development.
Key responsibilities:
·Assist the manager with all administrative duties associated with the management of the setting
·Ensure all policies and procedures are always followed
·Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
·Undertake a shared responsibility for health and safety and cleanliness throughout the nursery
Minimum Requirements:
·CACHE Level 3, NNEB, NVQ Level 3 essential
·Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
·Strong people management skills
·Experience within a nursery setting
