Job description
PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disorders) Learning Support Assistant Day to Day

Westminster


Are you someone who feels they can fully comprehend individual's learning and emotional needs and then know how to adapt surroundings to best support their needs?

An outstanding' special needs school in Central London are looking for someone who has had experience working 1:1 with children or young people and have a profound knowledge of special education needs to work on a day to day basis.

If you were to apply for this role you would need the following skills and qualifications:

•To have worked with students with ASD and PMLD.
•Ideally hold a Psychology degree or have Speech and Language experience.
•Be committed and motivated in raising standards
•Ideally be trained or have experience in Phonics, PECS, Makaton and Team Teach.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00
