Protocol Education are looking for SEN LSA's who would work effectively in challenging classrooms with pupils who need 1:1 support. The role is based in Croydon but we do have SEN Schools across South London available! The role would be full time working 08:30 - 15:30 and supporting teachers in classrooms. The classes have 8 pupils per class.

The role will involve challenges such as having to restrain pupils and be prepared to use de-escalation to talk to pupils who are displaying disruptive behaviour.

You will be supported by a great team of people who will be there to assist in any questions you have, they also come with a lot of their own experience working in SEN settings and will be able to help you settle in.

The role:
Work with students on a 1:1 basis and within a class
Assisting with lunchtimes
Supporting the teachers with the execution of their lessons
Support the learners in class on a one to one basis with numeracy and literacy
Working within a supportive team

You'll be successful if you have:

• A Child workforce DBS, on the update service - we can support you through the process of applying for one if you do not already have one.
• Confidence in working with challenging behaviour
• Enthusiasm and confidence to work in this environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
