Protocol Education are currently recruiting teaching assistants and learning support assistants to work in an outstanding special needs primary school located in Wandsworth. The role requires teaching assistants to work with student with a variety of special needs that include; physical disabilities, severe learning difficulties and speech & language difficulties.

This particular school focuses on the development of speech and language, encouraging students to feel independent and utilising creative lessons such as art and music to stimulate students sensory processing. As a teaching assistant you will be required to work within a class and support students on a one to basis. Although experience isn't essential, the school are looking for candidates that are open minded, passionate and enthusiastic in making a positive difference to the students learning experience.

Main Duties:
  • Engaging students through creative lessons such as art, song and dance
  • Helping with sensory integration within the classroom
  • Working with the teacher to assess pupils' levels and ability
  • Ensuring the schools ethos and policies are being implemented
