We are working on behalf of an outstanding college located in Southwark that provides tailored curriculum to students with special needs such as autism, moderate learning difficulties, and complex needs. This college are currently recruiting learning support assistants that are looking to work in education and provide one to one support to students and teaching life skills, numeracy, literacy, providing a platform for employability and developing students sensory recognition. As a support assistant you will be working in a set class ranging from 6 - 8 students supporting learners both on and off site. As the students are you adults, you will be required to teach skills that students can use in everyday life after education such as shopping, understanding of money, work placements, taking a bus and being involved in outdoor and social environments. In addition you will also be working in lessons such as music, art and cooking.
This college are looking for reliable and committed individuals that are looking for a long term job and can start immediately or from September 2022.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
