We are looking for an ASC Learning Support Expert to fit into a lovely caring team in a PMLD school in the Harrow area. The school is catering for different Sensory, ASC, SLD and PMLD needs across students aged between 11 -18. Candidates who apply must be confident, collaborative and have a passion for supporting children in a patient and calming manner.

The school has a wide range of facilities to support children in there developing journey including a Hydro pool in which staff have the option to help students in the pool with swimming and water-based strength activities, a soft playroom, a nice large playground with lots of different sensory triggers, sensory rooms that encourage the enhancement of multiple senses. The school encourage staff and students to work in a fun and energetic manner to try and get the best out of the students in the school to best support the basic curriculum. 

This school needs candidates who are comfortable with personal and intimate care needs as students in the main will need plenty of intimate support. Most students use either walkers or wheelchairs and candidates will be expected to know how to hoist and manually handle students, if not training will be provided from the school on site. Each class has 7/8 pupils per class, 1 teacher and a minimum of 2 learning support assistants who all work in a collaborative way to support students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
