Looking for a role where no two days are the same? ✨

We’re working closely with a number of vibrant and welcoming primary schools across BS15 who are looking for enthusiastic classroom support staff to help children feel confident, included, and excited to learn every day.

Many of the pupils in these schools speak English as an Additional Language (EAL), so if you speak another language too, that’s a huge bonus, though definitely not essential. What matters most is your ability to build positive relationships, bring calm energy into the classroom, and support children as they settle into school life and grow in confidence.

Starting after the Easter holidays, this is a brilliant opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with young children, believes every child deserves to feel supported, and wants to make a genuine difference in school every single day.

Location: BS15
Pay: £14.30 - £14.75 per hour, paid weekly via PAYE

Why work with Protocol Education?

  • Flexible work that fits around your life, whether you’re after long-term KS1 roles or day-to-day supply
  • Opportunities to secure permanent classroom support positions
  • Experience across a variety of welcoming mainstream and specialist primary schools
  • Weekly pay with competitive rates
  • A friendly local consultant who genuinely understands primary school support roles
  • Easy-to-use booking system, no unnecessary hassle
  • PAYE payroll, plus a £250 bonus when you refer a colleague
  • Free CPD opportunities to help build your confidence and skills in the classroom

A little bit about you

You might already have experience supporting children in Key Stage 1, or maybe you’ve worked in childcare, tutoring, youth work or similar settings.

We’d love to hear from people who are:

  • Confident supporting classroom learning, routines, and activities
  • Calm, patient, and emotionally aware in their approach
  • Comfortable supporting children with SEMH needs, ADHD, or additional learning needs
  • Able to adapt activities and encourage children at different learning levels
  • Passionate about helping children feel safe, seen, and successful
  • Positive team players who bring good energy into the classroom

✨ Bonus points if you speak another language and can help support pupils with EAL needs.

What you can expect

These schools are known for being supportive, inclusive, and full of personality. You’ll be joining teams who genuinely care about creating nurturing learning environments where children can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience, build confidence quickly, and become part of a school community that really values the role support staff play every day.

What we’ll need to get you started ✔️

To help get you cleared and ready for work as quickly as possible, we’ll just need:

  • A valid passport or proof of right to work in the UK
  • Two proofs of address, such as a driving licence or utility bill
  • An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained
  • Two years of references, including your most recent school or employer
  • An Overseas Police Check if you’ve lived abroad for 3+ months in the last 5 years

If you’re ready to step into a rewarding role where you can genuinely make a difference, we’d love to hear from you
