Get Valuable Work Experience before applying to a PGCE, Calling all Aspiring Teachers

Protocol Education are recruiting for Degree equivalent Graduates that wish to apply for a PGCE in 2016/17 or who have an interest in working with Secondary School pupils. . At Protocol we work in partnership with schools across Swindon, Wiltshire, Bristol, North Somerset and Bath and North East Somerset and provide them with Teaching and Support on a day to day and long term placement supply basis.

Most PGCE’s ask for at least two weeks work experience in your chosen age range, so why not get that experience by working in a school and earning money at the same time!

There are three main roles that we offer in Secondary Schools. The ideal role that resembles that of a Qualified Teacher is a ‘Cover Supervisor’. In order to work as a Cover Supervisor with Protocol Education you must be a Degree Graduate, have a strong presence, be willing to learn and undergo in house training if you haven’t got previous experience.

Cover Supervisor-

Acting as an unqualified teacher, successfully manage behaviour of an entire class and ensure all work set is completed.

LSA- Working 1:1 with a child

TA- Assisting the class Teacher, and contributing to the whole class.

This job would suit:

A graduate looking to gain some more classroom based experience within secondary schools

Degree students looking to build upon your experience in preparation to pursue a teacher training programme

A Youth worker/Sports/Drama coach and would like to extend this into a classroom environment

Protocol Education Bristol are seeking Cover Supervisors and Support Staff for daily, short term and long term assignments. The successful candidates will be confident and clear communicators, be committed to managing the classroom and pupil behaviour at all times and have a natural ability to enthuse and motivate young learners.

Work consists of day to day supply work but also pre-booked bulk work and longer term placements. This will be discussed in more depth at your appointment.
