Job description
Protocol Education are seeking to recruit a Cover Supervisor to deliver cover lessons to students across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 and to support the education and welfare of pupils. Knowledge of the National Curriculum is essential as well as experience of a classroom setting. We are looking for an individual willing to teach any subject or a Cover Supervisor preferably with a subject specialism.
The role of Cover Supervisor is to supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers and to respond to questions and generally assist students in undertaking set activities.

This post would suit either an experienced Teaching Assistant or similar role, those with experience working in a school environment and for those interested in joining the teaching profession who would like some school based experience. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and be able to support and track the learning of students.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
•Provide cover supervision for the whole class when the responsible teacher is absent
•Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
•Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.
•Support students in a pastoral capacity when required as well as academic
•Attend to some administrative tasks
•Have good behaviour management skills
