Job description
Are you looking for experience in a secondary school before applying to undertake a Teacher Training course? Have you finished your university studies and looking for a route into the education system? Or are you an experienced Cover Supervisor looking for your next challenge?

In Bristol and the surrounding areas we have several secondary schools searching for committed and professional people to undertake Cover Supervisor roles. As a Cover Supervisor, you are required to deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of a class teacher on a short-term basis. This role involves a lot of autonomy and schools are looking for dynamic and engaging staff who build strong rapport with learners and staff. You need to be calm under pressure and happy to cover a wide variety of subjects.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in an educational setting and many Cover Supervisors go on to be very successful teachers. Cover Supervisors are encouraged to immerse themselves in all aspects of school life including extra-curricular activities.

You will ideally have experience in a school, tuition or alternative education setting. We will however, consider graduates who don't have school based experience but are keen to gain experience before undertaking a PGCE.

In return, you will receive excellent rates of pay, weekly payments and support during challenging moments. Cover Supervisors benefit from flexible working arrangements including day to day, short and longer term contracts.

Please send apply online or call 0117 945 3965
