Job description
Are you looking for experience to gain a place on a Teacher Training course? Have you finished your University studies and you are looking for a route into the Education System? Or you an experienced Cover Supervisor who is looking for their next challenge?

Several schools in the Cambridgeshire area are searching for committed and professional people to take up the role of Cover Supervisor. In the role, you are required to deliver set lessons in the absence of a class teacher on a short-term basis. This role involves a lot of autonomy and a calm approach benefits both staff and pupils. When no cover is required, Teaching Assistant support may be needed in or outside of classes. You may be utilised on a short-term, long-term or permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in an educational setting and many Cover Supervisors go on to be very successful teachers. Cover Supervisors are encouraged to immerse themselves in all aspects of school life including extra-curricular activities.

You will ideally have experience in a school setting, be on course to complete a degree or have an educational qualification. Although, experience is not essential as you will be provided with expert training to develop behaviour management strategies.

In return, you will receive excellent rates of pay, weekly payments and support during challenging moments.

Protocol Education helps schools, nurseries and academies across England to employ teaching and support staff who share their ambitions. If you are looking for jobs in schools, we want to hear from you.

You will be contacted by phone or via email over the next few weeks and, if successful, conduct an interview at a time that suits you.

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
