Job description
A fantastic opportunity at a school in South Northumberland has come up. We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven, hardworking graduate of Mathematics or Economics who is looking for a career in education. The ideal candidate will be able to use their own initiative while also being able to relate to and establish an excellent rapport with students.

They need to meet the following criteria in order to be cleared for work through Protocol:

• A Degree Graduate in a Curriculum Subject

• At least 6 weeks classroom based experience of working with children

• At least 2 references covering that last 3 years

• A new DBS certificate or a subscription to the update service

• All eligibility to work in the UK checks completed

A Cover Supervisor has to take responsibility for lessons when a permanent teacher is absent. The work you will need to deliver will already be set and your role will be to ensure the work is completed and to manage the student behaviour in line with the schools policy.

The successful candidates will be confident and clear communicators, be committed to managing the classroom and pupil behaviour at all times and have a natural ability to enthuse and motivate young learners.

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
