Job description

We are currently looking for cover supervisors
What is a cover supervisor?
You will be covering all subjects in the curriculum delivering pre-set work and managing the classroom in the absence of a classroom teacher. This role would give you an excellent insight into schools and great experience for your CV if you want to get into teaching.
The ideal candidate will;
·demonstrate commitment to supporting students' positive behaviours for learning
·offer a caring and sensitive approach when supporting students with a range of education needs
·be flexible and motivated to help students to achieve success
·have strong teamwork, interpersonal, IT and communication skills
·demonstrate confidentiality, integrity and enthusiasm
·a genuine passion and a belief in the potential of every student
Previous experience is not essential although experience of working with children would be preferred.

Essential requirements:
• A Qualified Teacher Status (either a PGCE or Cert Ed.)
• Very good knowledge of the British National Curriculum and the ability to plan differentiated work.
• A valid DBS on the Update Service or willing to undertake one.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Excellent teaching references.

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
