Ready for a fresh start this September? We’re working with secondary schools across Halifax looking for enthusiastic and dependable Cover Supervisors to support their classrooms.

This could be a brilliant opportunity if you're looking to build experience in education, considering a future career in teaching or simply enjoy working with young people and want a role where every day brings something a little different.

You'll be helping pupils stay focused, supporting their learning and making sure the school day runs smoothly when their usual teacher isn't in the classroom.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4
• Delivering lessons using pre-set work and resources
• Supporting pupils with their learning where appropriate
• Managing behaviour and maintaining a positive classroom environment
• Building strong relationships with students and staff
• Following school policies and procedures
• Helping to keep learning on track

You’ll need:

• Experience working with young people is desirable
• Confidence managing groups of pupils
• A calm, patient and positive approach
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• The ability to adapt to different classes and situations
• A genuine interest in supporting young people to succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
