Job description
Cover Supervisor

Are you educated to degree level? Do you have experience working with secondary age students in an educational capacity? Protocol Education are looking for both experienced and unexperienced Cover supervisors to work in schools across the London borough of Croydon. These vacancies are on a day to day, long term and permanent basis.

You will be providing cover for absent teachers while students work independently, supervising students during their study and invigilating examinations where necessary, always ensuring students' behaviour meets our expectations. You will also be expected to be a tutor of a tutor group and help with administration and reception tasks when the cover situation is light.
The ideal candidate will have:

•Experience in working in schools
•Strong ICT skills (and a willingness to undertake training when required) used to promote effective administration, organisation, communication and management
•Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail
•The ability to quickly gain and maintain credibility and rapport with managers and staff across the school
•Good telephone manner and presentation of professional image
•Good organisational and interpersonal skills which indicate a warm, efficient and hospitable manner to all
•Excellent listening and communication skills and sensitivity in complex situations
•Record of excellent attendance and punctuality
•Commitment to Equal Opportunities and Safeguarding
