We are partnering with secondary schools in Middlesbrough seeking a dependable and confident Cover Supervisor to join their teams on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals aiming to gain valuable classroom experience or develop a long-term career within education.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during short-term absences of teaching staff. Your responsibilities include delivering pre-prepared work, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment, and ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their tasks.
Supervise whole classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
Deliver pre-set lesson plans in line with school standards
Effectively and consistently manage classroom behaviour
Support students to remain focused and complete assigned tasks
Adhere to school safeguarding, behaviour, and reporting procedures
Collaborate with teaching staff and senior leaders as required
Experience working with young people in education, youth work, coaching, or similar roles
Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management skills
Calm, professional, and adaptable approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Genuine interest in education and student development
Degree-level qualification is desirable but not essential
Full-time, consistent work in Middlesbrough
