Salary: £90–£120 per day (depending on experience)

We’re currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced support staff, or anyone with strong behaviour management and experience working with young people.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in keeping learning on track when teaching staff are absent. You’ll supervise pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and create a positive learning environment where students can stay focused and engaged.

The role will include:

• Supervising lessons across a variety of subjects
• Delivering pre-set work to whole classes
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Supporting students with questions and engagement
• Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with young people, ideally within education, coaching, youth work, or mentoring
• Is confident managing groups and communicating clearly
• Can remain calm, professional, and adaptable
• Has strong behaviour management skills
• Is passionate about supporting students and schools

Ideal but not essential:

• Previous Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant experience
• A degree or relevant qualification
• Experience supporting SEND pupils
• Thrive training or safeguarding knowledge

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
