Job description
Are you a University Graduate with a degree within a Mathematics or have a degree which is heavily Maths based? Are you looking to gain paid experience in a secondary school this year with a view to doing your teacher training for the academic year 2018/19?

We are currently working with a Secondary School within Shropshire which is looking to appoint a University Graduate to support within their Mathematics Department for the remainder of this academic year.

Protocol Education are currently working with a Secondary School within Shropshire located within commutable distance of Oswestry who are looking to appoint a University Graduate with the capability of supporting their GCSE and A-Level pupils within Mathematics. The role is offered on a full time 5 days a week basis. Should you impress the school there is also the opportunity to secure on the job Teacher training via the SCITT route directly with the school for the academic year 2018/19.

The role will see the successful applicant taking on a supporting role within this Secondary School. Duties can vary from day to day, working with a variety of different year groups and ability levels. You could be doing general classroom support, working with small groups both within and outside the classroom. You could be working with students who have been identified as requiring intervention, supporting them in achieving their target grades, with the gifted and talented or when working with GCSE or A-Level pupils often with those on key grade borderlines. You will also be required to cover for Teachers when they are away on courses or off sick, delivering pre-planned lessons to pupils.

You will be required to work the full school day, starting no later than 8.30 and finishing around 4.00 unless you are supporting extra curricular activities after school.
