Job description
Are you looking for experience to gain a place on a Teacher Training course? Have you finished your University studies and you are looking for a route into the Education System? Or you an experienced Cover Supervisor who is looking for their next challenge?

Several secondary schools in Corby, Kettering and Northampton are searching for committed and professional people to take up the role of Cover Supervisor. As a Cover Supervisor, you are required to deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of a class teacher on a short-term basis. This role involves a lot of autonomy and a calm approach benefits both staff and pupils. When no cover is required, Teaching Assistant or Learning Support may be needed in or outside of classes. You may be utilised on a short-term, long-term or permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in an educational setting and many Cover Supervisors go on to be very successful teachers. Cover Supervisors are encouraged to immerse themselves in all aspects of school life including extra-curricular activities.

You will ideally have experience in a school, tuition or alternative education setting, be on course to complete a degree or have an educational qualification. Experience is not essential as you will be provided with coaching to develop behaviour management strategies to keep learners on track.

In return, you will receive excellent rates of pay, weekly payments and support during challenging moments. Cover Supervisors benefit from flexible working arrangements including day to day, short and longer term contracts.
