We have an exciting opportunity for a graduate to join our team of cover supervisors working in schools across Sunderland and South Tyneside.

 In your role as a Cover Supervisor you will supervise lessons in the absence of the usual classroom room teacher. You will manage a class of up to 32 children aged between 11-16.  All work will be planned and set for you be subject teacher. You will could be covering lessons in a variety of subjects therefore you will need to be able to think on your feet and be adapatable.

Previous experience is not required as training will be provided. Anyone interested in cover supervisor work will need to be resilient, confident and empathetic in their approach to dealing with children.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in a career in teaching. While working as a cover supervisor you will gain first hand experience in a classroom while being paid.

Location- Sunderland and the surrounding areas

Key requirements

-          Must be a graduate

-          Passionate about working with children with possible ambitions of becoming a teacher

-          Dynamic and flexible

-            Available to work 3-5 days a week (including being on call from 7am-9.am )

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
