Protocol Education are working with a secondary school based in Enfield who are seeking to appoint a full-time Cover Supervisor to join them in the new academic. The school is an all through co-educational secondary school who have state of the art facilities and an extremely supportive senior leadership team and promote all staff professional development. The role of a Cover Supervisor, is to manage the classroom in the absence of the teacher, ensuring that students remain focused on work that has been set.

Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:

  • Deliver pre-planned lesson plans and material that has been set in the teacher’s absence.
  • Ensure students remain on task, monitoring progress and providing feedback.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and teaching techniques.
  • Participate in school activities: Supervising lunch breaks, extra-curricular clubs and more.
  • Manage student behaviour and report any signs of distress, bullying or other safeguarding concerns.
  • Take accurate attendance records and report any absences.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills, with an adaptable ability to manage multiple tasks. You will have strong organisation skills with attention to detail and the capacity to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
