Protocol Education are working closely with this excellent school located in Teddington, in the London Borough of Kingston Upon Thames, they are seeking to appoint a full time Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2022.

We are seeking to appoint a committed Cover Supervisor to join the curriculum support team for September 2022 to provide high quality in-classroom teaching and supervising when classroom teaching staff are absent or unavailable, and to assist with general curriculum support as required.

This role is suitable for anyone considering a career in teaching, or those already qualified but seeking some flexibility.  

There is scope for the right candidate to progress.  

You will be flexible and adaptable and need to be organised and able to use your initiative.

The Role:
• As a Cover Supervisor, you are responsible for supervising work pre-set in accordance with the schools’ guidelines, and ensuring such work is carried out by students
• To manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they undertake their work
• De-escalating situations within the classroom in the correct way
• Collecting of work at the end of the lesson and returning it to the appropriate recipient

The Candidate:
• Degree educated OR experience working with children
• A character who truly makes a difference in the classroom and enjoys working with young people.
• Excellent communication skills; verbal/written and reading comprehension
• Proven track record of positively impacting the lives of children, please note - this can be in any field

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
