We're looking for confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Bradford. Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor, a graduate considering a career in teaching, or someone with experience working with young people, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll lead pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring pupils remain engaged, focused, and supported throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 using pre-set lesson plans

• Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment

• Ensuring students stay on task and complete the work set by the teacher

• Supporting pupils with their learning where appropriate

• Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and engagement

• Upholding safeguarding procedures and school expectations at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

✅ Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring or youth work setting

✅ Excellent communication and classroom management skills

✅ Confidence leading a classroom and managing behaviour effectively

✅ A professional, proactive, and flexible approach

✅ A genuine passion for supporting young people and education
