Cover Supervisor

A large, well-established secondary school in Newcastle is seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support lessons across the school on a daily or long-term basis.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise lessons using pre-prepared work set by teaching staff

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy

• Ensure pupils remain on task and engaged in learning

• Provide basic guidance and support where needed

• Report back to departments on lesson progress and pupil behaviour

• Work across a range of subjects with pupils in KS3 and KS4

You will not be required to plan lessons, but you will be responsible for leading the classroom and maintaining a productive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
